Putting yourself first

I'm currently on a sabbatical and it's been a real time of reflection. I've realised I was carrying a lot of stress and needed to practice self-love. It's vital if you're to live your best life.

I have been working with a lady who creates pamper packages and in the process I have developed a range of postcards for her with uplifting messages; a sample is shown above and it's challenged me to practice what I preach!

If you would like some postcards focussed on wellbeing, perhaps to send to a friend who is struggling or to put on your fridge as a reminder to take time out, get in touch. I can create bespoke ones for any occasion or message.

New me

So I've hung up my freelance hat for now, but don't worry I will be back! Maybe in a couple of years or so, I'll just see how things pan out. So I'm working in the public sector in two jobs about healthcare.  I'm still navigating my mental health at work and still have very bad days, but slowly I'm starting to rebuild my career and with it my confidence. We are survivors us Mitchells (maiden name). Well, Jacksons too - my Mother-in-Law was just given an MBE for her charity she set up due to a really impossible situation when she was denied contact with her first grandchild. Life takes us through many ups and downs, particularly as someone with bipolar and menopause, but it's how you respond that counts.  Just thought I'd share my musings as I thought you might like to see my personal side. Winter resolutions

So I haven't succeeded with any of my autumn goals - life gets in the way and all too often I put everyone's needs above my own. So that has to change. From December I'm setting intentions to stick to: 1. Going to do a dance or exercise class each week 2. I'm going to make time for my marriage 3. I'm going to reduce my working hours
