With five minutes to go - I took the car!

So, hands up, I've failed in my challenge - yesterday I went by car to meet my friend. The problem I have is that as a working mum with health issues for myself and my husband, I'm very time poor. We all know the challenges of parenting, rushing from one club to another, to get the shopping, clean up etc.

But I am also trying to fit in a life - to see friends, have hobbies and visit my dad. None of these things are easily done when you're waiting for a bus.

Don't get me wrong, I'm going to persevere and try again, but I only had 5 minutes to get there so I needed the car.

The main aim of my experiment is to learn to plan more so that I can use public transport, and then we will go down to one car and share an electric.

But sadly so far the Westlink service hasn't been available at the right time for me to use it. But I will keep trying!

I want to share that I have all this every 3-4 weeks at the moment and have done now for nearly 5 years. Surely this will end soon? They say 10 years is possible. I've recently started following Louise Newson from Balance; she's a doctor with really great advice and support around menopause and all the problems it brings for women. As well as Davina Mcall, she and Dr Greenhouse are sending out a very clear message which resonates ...
